    Yolancris at White Gallery London

It’s Spanish design at its best – edgy, exciting and inspired. You can see it in London, 22-24 May, when the second edition of the elegant and exclusive White Gallery showcases the newest designer collections

Yolancris, hot from the Barcelona Pasarelas, is exhibiting in London for the first time and has chosen White Gallery as its showground. Check out this thoroughly contemporary collection on Sunday, when the key designer-only event opens its very elegant doors at Battersea Evolution. The bridal and eveningwear specialist, known for its adventurous and sharply-observed sense of style, is introducing four sub collections for 2012, each an interpretation of 70s styling: ‘New Sun’ celebrates the dawn of a new age and the spirit of the hippy decade – so expect ethnic touches with feathers, colourful silks and stones such as turquoises and corals; ‘Lumiere’, meanwhile, mixes net and lace, wood and crochet in a patchwork of texture and detail. Then there is ‘Bohemian Luxury’, a celebration of loft-life in Manhattan in the 70s that introduces a seductive note to boho dressing, and ‘Le Tre Grazie’, the Three Graces, that brings flow and fall of fabric to avant garde, ethereal elegance that features light fabrics and embroidered guipures dressed with feathers and beadwork.

Yolancris was formed in 2005 by sisters, Yolanda and Cristina Perez, who collaborate closely with their mother, Mercedes Alvarez, a hugely talented designer has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in bridalwear. See them at White Gallery and enjoy! The doors open at 10pm on the 22nd.
