Following a hugely successful debut for John Lewis in 2011, Royal designer Nicki Macfarlane has created a new, exclusive collection for the retail favourites. Featuring muted colours of shell pink and elegant ivory; full skirts with petticoat underlays and Nicki’s trademark sumptuous bows in royal gold, ivory silk and organza, the range of five dresses epitomizes her reputation for exemplary quality and style.
Lindsay Dickson, Girlswear Buyer for John Lewis says: “Following the success of last season’s collection, we are delighted to be welcoming the new range of Nicki Macfarlane bridesmaid dresses into John Lewis for spring. The dresses are made from beautiful silk and taffeta, and offer our customers a designer look at an affordable price.”
Shown above from the new range are, left to right: Iris, a sleeveless ivory silk dress, which features a stunning shell pink organza bow and a matching delicate ruffle around the neck; the ivory 1950s-inspired Hera, with its on-trend belt with a bow at the front; Juno,a fairytale dress featuring organza overlaid on silk and delicate organza sleeves; and
Elena, a beautiful shell pink full-skirted dress with puffed sleeves and a dramatic organza bow, tied at the back.

At White Gallery London, 20-22 May, at Battersea, Nicki will be showing her new ready-to-wear range which will include her new Swan Collection for teens. The styles will complement the Cygnet Collection (the new name for the girls’ dresses), using similar fabrics and colours but in styles that the young ladies will love. An exciting new palette of colours will be revealed as well.
