A media favourite signs up for White Gallery

Claire Mischevani is a hot property and has been accepted to join the elite line-up of bridal design talents at White Gallery London 2012, when she takes her place in the exclusive New Talents arena of the show. A bespoke designer for ten years, she is now broadening her customer base to include the very best retailers

Asked for her favourite finds at BBEH September, Sally Dixon, Fashion Director of You & Your Wedding, said: “Claire Mischevani is an old favourite of mine from my Cosmo Bride days! Claire’s gorgeous new collection featured inspired 2-in-1 dresses which were far removed from the usual rip-the-skirt-off-et-voila-you-have-a-mini numbers we’ve been seeing of late.” Praise indeed, and testament to the quality and originality of this collection was the fact that Claire’s stand at Harrogate was packed throughout the three-day show.

In May (20-22), Claire will be debuting her stunning 2013 ‘Precious’ collection at White Gallery London – for details visit www.whitegallery.com

Winning of various covetable awards over the years, including Designer of the Year in 2005, Claire has had her own boutique in Shrewsbury for nearly a decade and is due to open a new showroom and studio in London at the end of this year. Brides-to-be have been known to travel from all corners of the UK and Europe for her bespoke service and she includes several high-profile celebs among her clients. Having has her own boutique gives her a thorough understanding of what retailers have to deal with on a daily basis. “I am looking to work with a small number of exclusive stockists,” she says. “I want them to give them the ability to make brides feel like they are receiving a couture service.” Classic silhouettes, stunning fabrics, and countless customisation possibilities – full lace over dresses and detachable pieces, such as belts and shoulder detailing, mean that a bride can change her look – more than once if necessary – during her special day.

Claire’s UK-made gowns have been featured by fashion editors in Vogue, Tatler and Grazia as well as all of the major bridal magazines.
